Interview Transcript (Modified for Readability)

“A dentist that wants to go into DSO but is unsure, I think the thing they have to understand is the great thing with being in a DSO is that you can really focus on patient care. You don't have to try to run your business worrying about payroll, worrying about all those other management things. You have a team of people that takes care of that. You're in charge of taking care of your patients. Yes, you should be seen as a leader, because everyone automatically looks to a doctor for leadership. I think you are always going to be a leader as a doctor, but the patient care is truly the focus of that individual. You do have to give up a little bit of autonomy, but most DSOs are very, very good about protecting the autonomy of each doctor.”
