VITA Debuts New Shade Scanner for Dental Wings
VITA has created a new wireless shade scanner that interfaces with the Dental Wings 3D printing equipment suite. Dentists already using VITA Assist PC software will be pleased. The Easyshade V Scanner also comes with the added advantage of being Bluetooth enabled, which allows for wireless integration with VITA Assist PC software.
The VITA Easyshade can help dentists pick out shades for CAD/CAM materials.
VITA has introduced a new wireless scanner that interfaces with Dental Wings for determining proper tooth shading.
The new VITA Easyshade V Scanner works on natural dentition, whitened teeth and ceramic restorations, Dental Wings reported in a news release. Dental Wings says this new spectrophotometer will streamline the production and quality control processes for ceramic dental restorations.

Dentists already using VITA Assist PC will be pleased, since the new scanner seamlessly interfaces via Bluetooth with the software.
“The data can be combined with a digital photo in order to document the initial situation as well as the individual characteristics of the patient’s teeth and then sent to the dental technician or patient,” the news release says.
The VITA Easyshade V should prove useful for dentists and labs that need accurate selection of shade for CAD/CAM materials, and that make layered crowns, prosthetic teeth, direct filling material and veneers.
With natural dentition, the VITA Easyshade V can take basic shade measurement, average shade measurement and tooth area measurement across all worldwide established standard shade systems.
